Trini musical group Kes the Band releases ‘IzWE’ featuring Etienne Charles and Laventille Riddim Section
Trinidad and Tobago artists Kes the Band, Etienne Charles, and the Laventille Riddim Section have come together to present us with a pure take on the true essence of Soca music: Beautiful instrumentation, smooth rhythm, and hype lyrics to match. The single ‘IzWE’ is also the name of a five-night themed event hosted by Kes in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The video opens up with a simple visual; a flambeau lit. The lit flambeau stays on screen for the entirety of the video as the sound intensifies. You hear drums, followed by horns, and then the smooth familiar vocals of Kes. This track is for the soca purists, who love the history of the genre and will enjoy the emotion that it evokes.
