According to an email, I received about “Feelin’,” the track is about the issues many women face with significant others who aren’t on the same page. I think we have all experienced this sort of relationship in one way or another. Like anything in life, I believe the way you handle the situation is what builds character too. Sometime last year I was introduced to China-Marie by way of a relationship on social media. Over the months, her and I would speak about the progression of her new material. On FaceTime, she would ask me for advice. Subsequently, I would share what I thought to be best. I think she listened. Without further ado, watch China-Marie’s new video for “Feelin’.” It is from her forthcoming album titled, “Potpourri.” In addition, China-Marie is mentored by the legendary Hip-Hop musician and Bay Area heavyweight Too $hort.

Read more about China-Marie

China-Marie is a free-spirit hippie at heart from Portland, Oregon. Her passion for music started at the young age of eight. She would sing along to Neo-Soul records that her mother would play around the house. At the age of thirteen, China-Marie began to focus more on singing and songwriting. It was a way for her to release the grief she felt after her grandmother passed.

A few years ago, she decided to take the next step in her career and make one of the biggest moves in her life. She took a leap of faith and moved from Portland, Oregon to Los Angeles where she knew no one and didn’t even have a plan in place, and knew she would have to sleep in her car for a few weeks, but with her work ethic and drive she was determined to make it.

In conclusion, after landing a job at LarraBee Studios, she got a taste of what the music industry had to offer. China-Marie is on a journey to success.
