This week’s #5NewVideos list consists of Bowrain, Torres, Curtis Harding, and more.

Bowrain – Time (Submitted)

In a strange treatment that doesn’t show much of anyone’s face from the start, Bowrain delivers the official video for “Time.” Ironically, its video is over six minutes, so time is an understatement in a society where almost everyone seems to have an attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Watch the peculiar new video for the lead single. It comes from the Ljubljana-native’s forthcoming 7-track album titled, “Distracted.” The vocal is arrangement is dreamlike. It reminds me of what I’d listen to when I’m on an aeroplane, trying to sleep or relax.

The Breeders – Wait in the Car (Submitted)

It’s been eight long years since the Boston-origin band released anything into the trying universe, but this art-student montage of a lyric video is ace. I must say, it is the most creative lyric video I’ve ever seen. “Wait in the Car” is a splash of a single from the quartet’s forthcoming album. In 2013, the group reunited. It was specifically to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their platinum-selling record: Last Splash. Watch the well-done visual for “Wait in the Car” below.

The Breeders goes on tour at the end of the month. There are nineteen dates. See if they’ll be in your city.

Torres – Helen in the Woods (Personal)

There’s something in the air, and it is so feminine that it churns my uterus into a whipped cream to spread into the world. Estrogenic energy levels are at an all-time high, and women are banded together like never before. That’s what “Helen in the Woods” sounds like to me. When Torres belts “Come out, come out, wherever you are” on the hook I imagine she is talking to the misogynistic pricks who have suppressed our species for hundreds of years. Not anymore, bitch. You’ve been cloaked and dethroned.

Fun fact: Torres’ video for “Helen in the Woods” came on immediately after “Wait in the Car.” Sometimes, algorithms influence written reviews. How cool?

Curtis Harding – Go As You Are (Submitted)

More art school vibes paint the picture for Saginaw, Michigan’s hottest new vocalist, Curtis Harding. Also, I’ve heard through the male and lesbian grapevine that watching a woman walk away doesn’t get old. Therefore, it was a great marketing call. Mr Harding, embrace whoever made that call. They deserve a hug and a raise.

Harding’s new album comes out on October 27 via Anti-. It has been counted as most-anticipated fall release by New York Magazine. Roling Stones also says he is an artist you need to know. Harding starts a tour on the first of November in Philadelphia at the World Café Live and ends it on the first of December in Dublin, Ireland at a venue called: Wheelman’s.

Pollyn – Findaway featuring Alexis Taylor (Submitted)

You’ve made it to the end of this list. That means something. What? I’m unsure, but since you’re here, artists, take notes. There must be a reason why just about everyone is releasing lyric videos in October. We are at the start of the last quarter. People are doing what they can to make the best use of their time. Roll out is key, and making the biggest impact is beneficial.

Hence, the Los Angeles-based Dark Pop, or Pop Noir, band Pollyn. Their upbeat track gets a dancing animation that matches the energy and shows you how to move to the song. Check it out now. It comes from their latest album called, The Anthology.
