Spotify cuts more employees, this time podcast division

Today, Spotify announced it is laying off two-hundred employees from its staff through a memo. LinkedIn News says the company wants to scale back its podcasting unit. Spotify has invested over $526 million into podcasts over the past three years. In a Bloomberg report, “there was confusion over money that prevented the launch of new shows and made expense approvals difficult for existing ones.”
