Song of the Day: “Talking (Bleep)” by Homeboy Sandman

Name: Homeboy Sandman
Representing: Queens, New York
Genre: Hip-Hop
For fans of: Black Thought, MF DOOM
Single from: Kindness for Weakness
Produced by: Edan
Song of the Day: May 12, 2016
Label(s): Stones Throw Records

Homeboy Sandman, or The Boy Sand, has always been consistent with showing off his lyrical capabilities, storytelling and supplying substance to whatever he does. The Queens rhyme sayer and wordsmith released a single from his “Kindness for Weakness” album, and it’s a track that anyone can relate. “Talking (Bleep)” is a smooth but funky track where Homeboy Sandman vents about his daily run-ins with people who may lack common sense or people who have nothing better to do in their lives; adding useless input. This Edan-produced track is well-structured and appropriately complements Sandman’s style.
