On Friday, Nigerian artist-producer Pheelz released an eight-song EP. Fifty per cent of the project we’ve heard before–like his breakout single ‘Finesse’ and his hit record with Davido ‘Electricity’, but the new songs are as good and even display a commercial R&B side (‘Pheelz Like Summer’) to the Lagos-born creator. Based on Pheelz’s immaculate beginnings as a primary artist, he has been on a high incline. It’s no wonder he just won Nigeria’s Soundcity MVP Awards for Best Collaboration, bagged himself a collaboration with New York City star French Montana, and found himself in the room with Dr Dre last year. There’s no telling what’s next for Pheelz, but we are ready!

Stream the smooth Afrobeats project with the playback value of a classic album below. It covers topics like trust and fidelity (‘Stand By Me’), lovemaking and beauty (‘Pheelz Like Summer’), and hustling and grinding on (‘Pablo Escobar’).
