Watch Compton band Paris Texas’ dirty video for ‘Girls Like Drugs’

It had been out for five minutes and earned 262 views when I watched it.

The nostalgic sound of Pharrell’s band N⋆E⋆R⋆D and the boyish attitudes throughout the film that screams Tyler, the Creator are the things that excite me most about the buzzing band from Los Angeles. The Compton musical duo Paris Texas’ new visual is the kind of treatment we haven’t seen in a while from a Black American group: Imaginative, gross, funny, and well-constructed, a feat we have to thank directors Zhamak Fullad and Raheem Hercule for. Stream and watch ‘Girls Like Drugs’. It is from the debut EP titled ‘Boy Anonymous’ and inspired by “the peep show scene from the 1984 Wim Wenders film”.

If you like what you hear, you can catch them on tour next month, and during the Spring of 2022, the guys are scheduled to support BROCKHAMPTON on an extensive North American tour.
