Today, Major League DJz and Major Lazer released a collaboration with Nigeria’s Joeboy. If you are unfamiliar with the twin DJ duo, the South African Amapiano stars are seen, acknowledged and credited as pioneers of the young genre. In a statement to the press, Joeboy shared that the lyrics are about the moments he feels on top of the world, wearing designer clothing and providing for the people he loves as a monetary sponsor.
“‘Designer’ is about feeling fly, rocking designer, being braggadocious, being confident in your skin and shining wherever you are”, Joeboy says. “I was in LA at Diplo’s Malibu mansion and ‘Designer’ is one of the songs we made. Diplo is a talented producer, and I am happy to be working with him on another track.”
