Dreamville’s Lute lyrically reflects on past and conquering life battles in music video for ‘Myself’ featuring DEVN
The Dreamville collective is full of talent, spearheaded by megastar J Cole. Now, Charlotte, North Carolina-native Lute is set to make his impact felt and flex his lyrical ability. Lute unveils a new music video for ‘Myself’ featuring fellow Charlotte artist DEVN, where Lute peels back the curtains to his life a bit.
Lute has been open in conversation with GQ and Complex on his struggle with anxiety and how it has pledge him almost his entire life, including members of his family. The soundtrack ‘Myself’ speaks on why he’s more comfortable in a loner space, as he raps “I’m not an introvert/I really just don’t f*ck with n*gg*s” & “Where I lay my head don’t feel like home and n*gg*s wonder why I be in my zone”.
Lute’s last studio project was ‘West1996’ released in 2017. He also released an EP in 2018 and guest features on Dreamville’s collective album ‘Revenge of the Dreamers III’ released in 2020. Fans are excited to see what’s next.
