Lollapalooza 2026 wraps: 10 arrests, 67 hospital runs and a muddy mess in Grant Park
Chicago’s biggest music weekend closes with fewer arrests, more ambulances and a soggy aftermath.
Chicago’s Grant Park has dried out, mostly. Officials have released the final tally from this year’s Lollapalooza, and whilst arrests dipped, ambulance runs climbed.
Ten people were arrested across the four‑day run. Sixty‑seven were taken to hospital by ambulance. Thursday brought four arrests and eighteen transports. Friday saw three arrests, twenty-two transports. Saturday’s Rock and Pop headliners played through a deluge that flooded the grounds. Attendees, undeterred, belted out ‘Rain, Rain, Go Away’ as they trudged through the mud. Sunday closed cleanly: Zero arrests, eleven transports.
Compared with 2025’s twelve arrests and forty-two transports, this year’s numbers tell a mixed story—fewer troublemakers, more medical calls. Cleanup costs remain unknown.
