Lil Uzi Vert’s stellar genre-fusion album would have been sicker as a collaboration with Lil Wayne (Review)

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As the megastar takes time to address things people have said about them, Lil Uzi Vert flirts with three equally monumental American genres—Trap, Rock, and Hip-Hop—that work well and unleash their rockstar vibes for the fans to consume. On the first and second songs of the LP (‘Flooded the Face’ and ‘Suicide Doors’), the superstar shares how many women he allegedly shares a bed with and wearing fingernail polish and dresses. My top tracks are ‘Spin Again’, where he raps about an intimate moment with his lady and black hair and the questioning of his sexuality.

If you’ve been into Rock Rap made by modern artists like Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, and the late Juice WRLD and XXXTentacion, you’d appreciate the twenty-six album out now.

Lil Wayne would have been an incredulous musical icon to partner with on this album, Lil Uzi Vert, as the Louisianan is one of the most successful [modern] rappers to openly express and identify himself as a rockstar. In 2010, the living goat released his first Rap-Rock album—The Rebirth—and before that, he packaged himself with the look almost all rappers adopted after he debuted and soared to superstardom. With the support coming from Nicki Minaj for Lil Uzi Vert and JT, who knows? Maybe, our dream will come true.
