Failed love is universal.

Kidä

Kidä, a Los Angeles-based Egyptian-Italian singer-producer, shared a new track called “Girls” exclusively through Wonderland; taking inspiration from the 90s, heard throughout the production. Synonymous to the beginning of Donell Jones’ “Where I Wanna Be,” she sings about missing a loved one. But it doesn’t stop there, the singer goes deeper and points out that jealousy and insecurity might have the best of her.

As the hook progresses, she explains that she’s seen girls trying to talk to him. Battling with moving on or repairing a lost love, her sentiment and experience are relatable. How often do we all find ourselves in relationships that come to an abrupt end? Hopefully, the answer is “not often.”

According to the premiere on Wonderland, Kidä used to sing backup for Pharrell, Natasha Bedingfield, and Carly Simon.
