New York City rapper French Montana has been on an all-time high lately, releasing several songs this quarter. Yesterday, the African-born rapper released a celebratory song to celebrate his country’s victory at the World Cup. It is the first time Morocco has made it this far at the World Cup.
To acknowledge that and school his fans who may not know why this moment was significant, he wrote the following statement:
“If they win today, they go to the World Cup. If they lose, they still win because Morocco has never made it this far. I’m so proud of this team and to call Morocco my home.”
Check out the featuring visual clips of native Morrocans gleaming in New York City’s Time Square with their flag, cheers, and smiles. It keeps his signature simple style in play with vocals in Arabic.
Additionally, French Montana is the first African-born artist to receive an RIAA Diamond certification. He is also the first male artist from South Bronx to achieve this accolade.
