Domo Genesis was slept on long enough.
Probably the last of the talented rappers to come to the mainstream by way of Odd Future, 25-year-old rapper Domo Genesis finally gets his due diligence. Teaming up with legendary artists like Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and the one and only Tyler, The Creator for his incredible single “Go (GAS),” was a delightful surprise. He shows that not only is he highly skilled, but Domo (short for “Dominique”) also reassures that he can hold his own on tracks with the best of the best.
25-year-old rapper Domo Genesis finally gets his due diligenceOne of my favourite references comes from Juicy J stating that he is looking for a woman who has bank statements like Oprah. Bro, we are still fighting for equal pay in the workplace. If you find her, introduce her to me too. I want to know her, and I want to celebrate the moment you found that feminine needle in a haystack.
If you’re feeling this track produced by Tyler, The Creator, preorder Domo Genesis’ debut album, GENESIS right now via this link. It comes out on Odd Future Records on March 25. Last week, he released a song called “Dapper” featuring the buzzing artist Anderson .Paak, which was received well by the critics. Also next week, he plans to stream his entire album on his Dash Radio Show (“Hall of Flames”).
If you’re in Austin, Texas, catch Domo Genesis live at the Cannabis Conference Expo at Emo’s. His set begins at 10 o’clock tonight. A day after his album comes out; he will also perform live at The Lyric in Los Angeles. Space is limited for the show, but if you’re able to get on the guest list and get in, let us know.
GENESIS also features fellow rappers Mac Miller, JMSN, Da$h and more.
