“A natural progression”

On Tuesday, Beyoncé announced the official title of her first Country album, ‘Act II: Cowboy Carter’. In February, the genre-fluid multiple-award winning rockstar appeared in a Verizon commercial during the Super Bowl. Immediately after the commercial aired, she shared a clip to her social pages—giving millions of fans something new to crave. Less than a month later, after her superfans—The Beyhive—made sure both tracks eventually made it to radio, helping “mother” become the first Black female artist to earn #1 at the Hot Country Songs chart.

According to the world-famous Dolly Parton, the former Destiny’s Child star member, may have recorded a rendition of the 1973 release produced by Bob Ferguson for her forthcoming album. The seventy-eight-year-old living legend disclosed those details to a journalist with Knoxville’s local newspaper site.

Spending time to decipher the meaning behind its art direction, PEOPLE journalist wrote, “In the image, it’s as if the metallic, disco-esque saddle that Queen Bey rides on the cover of Renaissance is transforming into a western one — signaling her artistic transition.”

It’s not a bad guess.

Queen Bey’s die-hard fans (and music fans alike) are in for something different. And as live-long fans, we are looking forward to its release, too. The album ‘Act II: Cowboy Carter’ comes out on March 29 worldwide.
