Today, Bella Shmurda, Nigeria’s high-streaming superstar, released the lead single from his sweet new EP, ‘DND’, out July 26. It follows up his year-old debut album ‘Hypertension’, which boasts over 250 million streams and promises to feature fellow Afrobeats royalty Tiwa Savage and Pheelz. For the entertaining new track made with the sensational Lil Kesh and its producer RewardBeatz, Shmurda—also known as “The New Voice of the Street” croons about receiving joy from his partner and being in love whilst Kesh sings about a risky night where breaking a back and spanking nyash ensues.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘DND’ and how the track came together, Bella Shmurda says, “Rewardbeatz crafted the instrumental, and recorded a demo in the studio with Lil Kesh. Kesh then sent the draft to me to check it out and see if I liked the track. I listened to it and immediately started recording what I was feeling at the moment, and that’s how ‘DND’ was born. The song perfectly captures my current headspace, where I don’t want to be disturbed, while I do things my own way.”
