Two Intimate NYC Showcases with Tumblr IRL and Rough Trade NYC
BANKS is thrilled to announce she will appear for the first time ever on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday, September 8. She’ll perform the fan-favorite track “Brain” from her highly-anticipated LP, Goddess (out September 9 on Harvest Records). Pre-order Goddess via this link.
The singer will also give two intimate performances while in NYC for release week of her album. On Saturday, September 6th, Tumblr IRL will present BANKS along with illustrator Kate Moross (who developed the artwork for BANKS’ London EP and Goddess) for an evening of art and music at the Openhouse Gallery. Moross’ art installations are fittingly inspired by the tracklisting on Goddess and says, “When the Tumblr IRL project came together I thought about Jillian’s handwritten lyric sheets and how they would be the perfect foundation for this collaboration. We have taken a line or a phrase from each song and created a visual response; these responses will sit together in the gallery, and we hope they will make people really look and think about the words that are such an important part of her music.” To attend you must RSVP via this link. On September 9, BANKS will be celebrating the release of her debut at Rough Trade NYC for a live performance and signing. Fans will need to purchase Goddess via Rough Trade NYC in order to gain entry to this event. Visit this link for more information.
