Today, Harlem’s fast-rising Drill star DD Osama released a clutch song called ‘Upnow’ featuring fellow rapper Coi Leray. Over the fine beat featuring lush 808s and a sample from 00s R&B trio Immature’s ‘Never Lie’, the young superstar knows he’s famous and in demand and delivers confidence-fuelled bars about expensive cars and luxury bags for his lady.

Racking up millions of views and plays since his debut and leading the pack of young Drill stars on the rise, DD Osama was hand-picked by Drake to model his collection with his friends and fellow rappers Sugarhill Ddot and the late Edot Baby.
For an artist who’s been rapping for under a year, the sixteen-year-old has better breath control than people twice his age. When the gleaming ‘Players’ singer starts her verse, she tells us she’s the best, she is paid, and he wants to lick on the tattooed neck. Both artists embody the repetition of lines popularised by Fivio Foreign.
Tonight, DD Osama will play to a sold-out crowd in Los Angeles at The Roxy, an accomplishment that hasn’t occurred for a New York City Drill rapper since the rise of Pop Smoke, according to the press release received.
