New York artist Eve Minor shares John Cage-inspired ‘3:33’ to “amplify Black voices and indigenous voices”: Watch

Taking a different approach by not singing at all, Eve Minor utilises her platform to “fight for social justice and human rights”. The New York City-based singer-songwriter created ‘3:33’ as a way to “amplify Black voices and indigenous voices”. As expressed throughout her composition, “silence is violence”, and perhaps in hopes of waking up fellow non-Black people to turn allyship. Whatever the outcome is, today, I am aware of the American composer’s “most important work” ‘4’33”’. Check out the performance art piece below, which takes inspiration from a John Cage original.
