Twelve days ago, Nigerian producer-artist Young Jonn decided to entertain loyal fans through cinematic storytelling that “captures the mindset of a man who sees wealth coming before it even lands”. In the warm visuals, several employees of all ages use banknote counters for dollars instead of naira. If you’ve ever travelled or done business with Nigerians, you know that sometimes there is a shortage of dollars. As a result, both businesses and individuals may face significant backlogs. With that said, I hope the Ibadan star isn’t to blame for the dollar shortage during the pandemic. I’m kidding.
