Swedish Cinematic Soul outfit Sunnan find beauty in melancholy on new single ‘Blue’
The Cinematic Soul outfit, Sunnan, leans into Trip-Hop, Psychedelic Rock, and Morricone-inspired orchestration on its most immersive release yet.

Critically acclaimed Cinematic Soul outfit Sunnan have announced their sophomore album, ‘Spaghetti Soul’, set for release on October 9, 2026. To mark the news, the band shares its new single ‘Blue’, available everywhere now.
Bluesy in name and feeling, ‘Blue’ blends hypnotic Trip-Hop textures with Psychedelic Rock, Classic Soul, sweeping strings, and a subtle Country Western tint. The result is a lush, Cinematic piece that sits with sadness rather than running from it. According to the band, the song is “a quiet rebellion” and “a loud lament”, encouraging listeners to reach joy by allowing melancholy to exist.

The forthcoming album expands Sunnan’s self-defined ‘Cinema/Spaghetti Soul’ sound. Shaped partly by sessions inside Fårö Church on the Swedish island tied to filmmaker Ingmar Bergman, the project fuses vintage soul, orchestral drama, and modern production into something timeless.
