The Strokes announce ‘Reality Awaits’ global tour, new album
The Indie Rock icons return with a worldwide run, festival stops, and their first studio project in six years.

The Strokes are stepping back into the spotlight with a major global tour announcement tied to their forthcoming album ‘Reality Awaits’. The newly revealed run signals a full-scale return for the band, marking their first major touring cycle since 2020’s ‘The New Abnormal’ era.
Set to kick off in June 2026, the ‘Reality Awaits’ tour will span North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Japan. Fans can expect performances at iconic venues like London’s O2 Arena and Paris’ Accor Arena, alongside festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Japan’s Summer Sonic.
The tour arrives in support of the band’s seventh studio album, also titled ‘Reality Awaits’, due out June 26 via Cult Records and RCA Records. Produced by legendary collaborator Rick Rubin, the project was recorded in Costa Rica and marks the group’s first new body of work in six years.
Adding to the excitement, select tour dates will feature a diverse lineup of supporting acts, including Thundercat, Cage the Elephant, and Alex Cameron.
With tickets going on sale in mid-April, the announcement caps off a renewed wave of momentum for the band, following a high-profile return to the stage at Coachella 2026 and the release of their new single ‘Going Shopping’.
