Be it the Scorpio in me or something else, “Acid Rain” is incredible. I like everything. From the music to the colour of the blood that matches their cheerleading outfits. Entertained is an understatement. It’s no wonder it won ‘Best Dance Video’ in 2015 at the UK MVA’s.

DOPE LEMON – Honey Bones (Personal)
When I decided to make this list, I planned to write about ‘women who look like they’re enjoying themselves in a film.’ One afternoon I sat on the bed and wondered if actresses enjoy themselves when on set. If you’re an industry insider, there’s a good chance you know what it is to be around people who are numb. If you’re lucky, you might be numb too. Therefore, I wondered about the depths of emotion (or lack thereof) when certain people perform. The women in “Honey Bones” appear to be in a woman-friendly, safe environment. Just look at their smiles.

BVNGS – CREAM (Personal)
Opening with a series of power-punching lyrics, Rochester’s buzzing artist—BVNGS (formerly Qui)—shares the official video for “CREAM.” Motivating in its message, you’d have to be a putz to remain stagnant after hearing it. Spitting bars isn’t a lost art. You’ve just been looking in all the wrong places.

Ashley All Day – Hiyah (Personal)
Somewhat reminiscent of Kreayshawn’s “Gucci Gucci,” South Bay rapper Ashley All Day raps about chopping bricks, squirting machine guns, and being numb off of Percocet. If you ever wondered what kind of woman Fetty Wap sung about, your curiosity will end after seeing “Hiyah.” In 2014, she released two videos for songs called “Yadadamean” and “Lean.” Today, both videos have over two million views.
