It must have been the AMAs or those newly syndicated Hollywood Film Awards that I watched. It’s hazy but when I saw the preview trailer for this movie, I was excited. To be frank, it was the only clip that I remembered and Bill Murray is the man. Not to mention, it was directed by Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums). It was the only movie I wanted to see. I was actually vocal about it. Fast forward and here I am with an email courtesy of its production house, 20th Century Fox, and all of the promotional materials in its glory. Behind-the-scenes footage included. Honestly, it is days like these when I love my job the most. Now as the official movie description will have it:

The Grand Budapest Hotel recounts the adventures of legendary concierge Gustave H. and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft of a priceless painting; a raging battle for an enormous family fortune; and a desperate chase on motorcycles, trains, sleds, and skis – all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.

If you can appreciate cleverness and a beautifully set movie like Marie Antoinette, you can appreciate this one.

As rich and timely as the film, in my opinion, the photographers and graphic designers have done a great job of capturing the essence of the film.

Plot
Though it’s a wild-goose chase, you’ll learn a thing or two about the imperfections of friendship and more.

Characters and costumes
You’ll fall in love with every character you meet. Especially, Zero Moustafa.

Behind-the-scenes footage, the makings of
Who wouldn’t love to see the makings of such a great film? I wish I was on set. It lets you know that will a great budget, skills and a great creative team, you can achieve just about anything. Let your dreaming continue and run wild.
