Short for “Black Mesrimes,” 29-year-old Black M is a French-Guinean rapper best known for being apart of a French Hip-Hop collective called “Sexion d’Assaut” like his fellow musician, Youssoupha. He grew up in la Rue du Bac in 7th arrondissement of Paris, home of the Eiffel Tower. His musical style is versatile but often reminiscent of Eminem’s. Best known for his fast flows, humorous subject matter, and intense lyrical delivery, Black M showcases a skill only an artist who’s been at it for 12 years can. In addition, his clever use of onomatopoeia and traditional punch lines is stellar. See what I’m talking about for yourself in his “Ailleurs” video, which translates to “Somewhere Else.”
