Somalia has banned TikTok, Telegram, and the online pooling website 1XBet in a bid to fight terrorism, limit the spread of indecent content and propaganda.

Members of the terrorist group al Shabaab often post about their activities on TikTok and Telegram hence posing a threat to the citizens of Somalia.
But as we know, the youths of Somalia who use these apps, making money from posting videos or promoting their wares on these platforms are all on the opposing side of this decision.
