Peggy Gou, the captivating Berlin-based artist and selector, has unleashed another single from her highly-anticipated forthcoming debut album. Rolling out her bright and exciting dance-provoking body of work to her 4 million plus online fans, or followers, her longtime die-hard fans are looking forward to finally having their moment. The talent, who has been playing for over a decade and known for creating her monster hit ‘(It Goes Like) Nanana’, has a full fan in me.
You may have asked yourself, “What made her name the record that?” Well, it is a nod to the late Spanish art world extraordinaire, Salvador Dalí’s 1936 sculpture, which depicts the crustacean atop a rotary phone. Before you get out of here, listen to the new record below, even if you don’t speak or understand Korean. As the magazine cover star artist says in the translated lyrics, Gou repeats, “I know you don’t understand this/But it doesn’t matter/It’s all the same/We’re all the same”.
Gou’s forthcoming debut album ‘I Hear You’ is set to come out on June 7, 2024. It follows her latest track ‘1+1=11″, with its official music video direction handled by Olafur Eliasson. It’s hard to not love the production, as it sounds like its part of a video game soundtrack.
