Rubin’s housekeeper was caught on hidden camera
A dramatic theft unfolded this week at the Hollywood Hills mansion of billionaire Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin after one of his own housekeepers was allegedly caught on camera stealing large amounts of cash from a safe inside the property. Law enforcement sources say the woman had been quietly taking money from the safe for close to a year before her alleged crime was discovered and exposed.
The alleged scheme came to light when Rubin’s security team noticed cash was going missing. They reportedly installed a hidden camera in the safe, hoping to catch whoever was responsible. That effort paid off this Wednesday morning, when the housekeeper was allegedly filmed grabbing around $20,000 in cash and placing it elsewhere. Once police saw the footage, they were called to the mansion and arrested her on the spot on suspicion of grand theft.
According to authorities, the total amount she is accused of stealing is roughly $130,000. It remains unclear how she repeatedly accessed the money, but sources say she had obtained the backup key to the safe, which was otherwise secured by a combination lock.
Rubin was not at home when the arrest was made; he was in Los Angeles after hosting events during NBA All-Star Weekend. There has been no official public comment from Rubin or his representatives about the incident.
