Paying homage to one of the world’s favourite girl groups, Destiny’s Child, New York City-via-New Jersey’s rising rapper Lady London adopts the ‘Soldier’ video treatment (and ‘Bills, Bills, Bills’) for her catchy new track ‘Yea Yea’ featuring Chicago star Dreezy with remarkable input. Letting the guys know they are temporary and perhaps good for one thing, never being their number one men, the ladies take turns to express themselves. Dreezy opens the song with a verse about cheekily getting FaceTime calls from Pizza Hut, knowing her worth so no man low balls her, and having a man put an AirTag on her car because she’s that girl.

Next, Lady London digs deep into her “yea yea”, telling him she would actually rather his homie. Then, she tells us why she has an NDA between her and an NBA player.

“Boy, you in the NBA and on an NDA (Sign here)/I don’t play that I hurt you and you want payback/Repossessing purses, emotional, I can see that (You in your feelings, huh?)/You keep asking questions like, “What are we?” (What are we?)/I’ma tell you like, “Listen, just be my peace” (You know what we are)/Don’t try and get for me to pose for your pictures, scary (Scary)/I’m just lookin’ for mimosas and missionary/Posts got a risk they carry, givin’ an obituary/Papa, I ain’t tryna be your missus or the chick you marry”

Watch the official video below to hear the well-written song produced by Nami and Nick Mira.
