Kabosu, the Japanese shiba inu behind the “doge” meme, has passed away

According to Kabosu’s owner, Atsuko Sato, the Japanese shiba inu behind the infamous “doge” meme, confirmed on her blog that her internet-loved pet has passed away after fourteen years of internet fame. Kabosu suffered from leukaemia and liver disease and died on May 24.
