Hear Roc Nation’s South London artist James Vickery sing the sultry ‘Turn Me On’ from his major debut

Are you looking for something super smooth to hear this morning? If I were you, I’d give South London singer-songwriter James Vickery, the time of day. The single ‘Turn Me On’ is from his new EP called ‘Overture’. Being called “the new face of UK R&B” has to be a luxury in itself, but it is not a title that just anyone can bear. The proof is in the pudding with this Roc Nation signed artist. James Vickery is deaf in his left ear; credits his early therapy sessions for finding his voice.

The singer told The FADER: Growing up in and out of hospital with a hearing impairment was extremely tough for me… If I hadn’t started going to speech therapy at a young age, I’m not sure I would have ever found my voice. The truth is I found out I could sing, almost accidentally – because of speech therapy, and never looked back since…”

Listen to the very sexy new track below. It’s about being all over each other, in the heat of the moment.
