Last week, Gaby Moreno shared the official music video to her song ‘Solid Ground’. In the opening sequence for the video, the curly-haired beauty sits on a brown leather sofa wearing a blue-fringed jacket, dark denim and cowboy boots. Next, she removes the shoots, picks up the guitar, and starts to play. Over the rock instrumental, the Latin GRAMMY winning singer-songwriter sings about looking for solid ground. After all she’s experienced, she still believes in good intentions, although someone has taken heart and turned it upside down. She’s optimistic through her pain, and we love to see it.

This week, the Latin GRAMMYs announced her two nominations for ‘Mejor Album Tropical Tradicional’ and ‘Mejor Álbum de Música Infantil’. Last night, she performed at the legendary Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium—celebrating Guatemalan Heritage Night. As written in the comms, “Honoring her treasured homeland of Guatemala, she performed the Guatemalan national anthem along with her critically acclaimed track ‘Luna de Xelajú’ (the official track features beloved actor Oscar Isaac), an honorary anthem for Guatemala.”
