See what’s catching the eyes of our Editor and Stylist from CAT Footwear’s upcoming collections
After catching up with Homeboy Sandman in TriBeCa, grabbing a bite to eat at Whole Foods was next on my to-do list. Soon after chowing down on a delicious breakfast meal, a good friend and wardrobe stylist for GrungeCake picked me up to head to CAT Footwear’s exclusive presentation and runway show hosted at New York City’s oldest whiskey distillery, Kings County Distillery, in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The event was in celebration of the launch of Cat’s Autumn-Winter 2013 collection, and to preview their upcoming Spring-Summer 2014 collection.
*Since it’s Autumn, wearing a fitted black braided sweater on slim-fit black denim with gold buttons affixed to the fifth and back pockets would accentuate all gold jewelry and rubies worn on neck, ears and wrists to complement your new oxblood boots. Your fiery crimson colors are sure to be lavishly regaled. Retail price $200
*Personally, seeing a man dress this with (a) classic Carhatt jeans or (b) a pair in the likeness of OshKosh’s signature stripe jeans which are now discontinued would look great with a white or navy dress shirt. Retail price $130

At the end of the show, Dani Zizak, CAT Footwear’s Vice President of Global Marketing, got up to say a few words and surprised the crowd by bringing out Tyler Hilton to perform a few songs on the runway, which included “Loaded Gun” and “Kickin’ My Heels.” Afterward, guests returned to the distillery for more drinks and music by DJ Gene, and were sent home with an #Earthmovers gift bag to cap off the evening. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you.
