Drake suggests Spotify pays bonuses to high-performing artists

This week, Drake broke a new record by becoming the first recording artist to accumulate over 75 billion streams across credits on Spotify. As the true trendsetter he is, the Canadian superstar suggested that the streaming platform starts paying artists bonuses based on their performance.

“We should get bonuses like athletes to motivate the future artists to be consistent and competitive…” he typed on Instagram.

If you didn’t know, reportedly, Drake earned a total of $52.5 million in 2021 from 21.5 billion streams.
