As the lyrics would explain, the singer swims in the deep blue sea, with his partner on his mind. The thought of her makes him want to dive into and take the next step in their new relationship by spending the night with one another like it is the last night of their lives. Why is this his request? According to the lyrics, he’s been chasing every relationship that was right on paper but felt wrong. Therefore, now, without question, he wants to be where he feels most comfortable and natural—with her. Ahead of today’s release, the song accumulated over thirty-six million streams across platforms.
