In 2023, Peck relocated to a small town in Michigan, where he built a studio from scratch, replacing nearly every piece of his equipment and software. “I kept my trusty Korg keyboard, but everything else was a reinvention,” he explains. Moving away from the tracker-driven methods he had relied on since his early days experimenting with MS-DOS in the 1990s, Peck embraced a freer, more organic approach to composition.
