Pinky Cole’s former CFO Aaron Mattison indicted in Bar Vegan theft and forgery case
Aaron Mattison is accused of unauthorised transactions, forgery, and money laundering tied to the now-closed Atlanta restaurant.

Pinky Cole’s former chief financial officer, Aaron Mattison, has been indicted in Georgia over allegations connected to Bar Vegan, the now-closed restaurant linked to the Slutty Vegan founder.

According to BET, Mattison managed Bar Vegan’s finances from 2021 to 2022 and now faces multiple charges, including theft by taking, first-degree forgery, and money laundering. Prosecutors allege he created fraudulent financial paperwork that appeared to have restaurant approval before initiating an $87,000 wire transfer for personal use. He is also accused of making repeated $600 withdrawals between September 2021 and June 2022, totalling more than $24,999.
The indictment adds to the public scrutiny around Bar Vegan, which previously faced a lawsuit over unpaid wages, tips, and overtime. Cole was not charged in connection with Mattison’s indictment.
