From zero to one hundred, real quick.
Keeping his experimental UK R&B/Soul sound front and centre, North London artist Nippa has released the official music video for his track, ‘Bittersweet’. Over the KAYTRANADA production, the young lover opened his song with several questions. Then, his mood suddenly shifted to something more celebratory.
Is Nippa blaming his absence in her life on work? Either way, they’re both clearly hurting. He’s drinking away his sorrows, and she’s dealing with the aftermath of his decisions. He may have been too focused or too much for her, but he confesses he isn’t perfect, and neither is she, which seems to bring him peace in the moment.
Watch the music video below to get in your feelings, if you want. You might truly relate to him.
It’s taken from his ‘Homegrown’ EP.
