Daniel Hernandez Senior spoke with Page Six on June 25, claiming that he has been living in a homeless shelter for the past two years. He said:

Because I don’t have an apartment, he doesn’t know that I’m in the shelter. Now he’s going to know I’ve been here for, what, two years already?

6ix9ine’s father has seen his son’s rising success and extravagant spending ways. Yet, when it comes to helping out his dad, Hernandez Senior is at a loss as to why he hasn’t been financially taken care of by the music superstar.

You think he’d come hook me up with something. He’s been giving money to other people. He gives money to everybody. Here, here, here.

6ix9ine and his dad have reportedly been estranged since the rapper was nine-years-old. Daniel Hernandez seemingly tried to make amends in December 2019, when he showed up to court for 6ix9ine’s sentencing for racketeering charges. He was denied the opportunity to speak in court, but later expressed happiness about Tekashi being behind bars, saying it was the safest place for him at the moment. The rapper was eventually released from prison in April 2020, and it looks like he and his father haven’t been communicated since then.
