Swayvo Twain steps into Big Poppa’s shoes, whilst honouring his late father’s Neo-Soul legacy.
Swayvo Twain, born Michael D’Angelo Archer II, is stepping into legendary territory. He’ll play the Notorious BIG in Universal’s upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, ‘Snoop’. His parents are none other than late Neo-Soul icons D’Angelo and Angie Stone.
Consequently, this casting feels genuinely poetic. Swayvo Twain, 29, is already a recording artist himself. His most recent single, ‘Hookah Smoke’, dropped back in February.
He celebrated the news on Instagram with a nod to Biggie’s classic, ‘Juicy’. “It’s all good baby, BABYYY…”, he wrote, referencing the song’s iconic opening line.
Furthermore, Jonathan Daviss stars as Snoop, whilst Craig Brewer directs. The film hits theatres on August 6, 2027.
