BigXthaPlug pleads guilty to gun charge, avoids permanent record
The Hip-Hop and Country crossover star navigates yet another legal hurdle.

BigXthaPlug has pleaded guilty to an illegal firearms charge stemming from his August 2025 arrest in Dallas. The Hip-Hop and Country crossover star received a six-month deferred adjudication sentence. Consequently, he must also surrender his rights to the seized firearm.
Fortunately, the deal offers a silver lining. Provided he avoids further incidents, his conviction will eventually be wiped clean.
The arrest came at an inconvenient moment, disrupting his album release celebrations. Officers stopped him over a missing front plate, whilst a subsequent search revealed the weapon.
Unfortunately, his troubles have not ended there. Last week, police in Allen, Texas, arrested him again on charges including driving under the influence and firearm possession. He was released from Collin County Jail shortly after, then performed at the Iowa State Fair the very next day.
