According to a report on TMZ, Brother Marquis from the legendary 2 Live Crew, passed away on Monday. The news broke on the Miami bass pioneer group’s official social media accounts. His manager confirmed his death to the leading American entertainment website but did not give the cause of death or any further information. He was fifty-seven years old. If you aren’t in the know about the group’s legacy, they achieved commercial success from the late 1980s to the early 1990s and were controversial due to the sexually explicit content in their music. We’ve included an official music video for reference—which is not safe for work.
