American rapper TITUS looks to shift viewers perspectives with the release of ‘PICK US UP’: visual
With the hope of changing the perspective of his listener for the better, TITUS releases the visual for ‘PICK US UP’. The rapper uses his voice to shed light on some of the common issues that most people face, more specifically, the problems within. The song echoes the theme of finding yourself and putting love into the world while guiding people back into the reality of life, not driven by emotions and ego. The visual is set in front of a house, where he is simply rapping with his friend present, followed by him taking a trip to the gas station, where the visual begins to take a dramatic turn, leaving viewers on edge with its cliffhanger finish. Overall, the message of the music and the story the visual displays is important and empowering for those willing to listen.

Earlier in the month, Los Angeles band Blushh released the official visual for ‘Too Dark’, an Indie Pop song about feeling claustrophobic at a party and needing space. Although we are all inside now, trying to remain safe from the global health crisis, we must say this song does remind us of what it’s like being outside of your home with friends. It describes what some cases of anxiety feels like, perfectly. Check out the video below. They’re having so much fun.

Fivio Foreign – Wetty (Personal)
Brooklyn’s it-boy Fivio Foreign picks up where he left off with his risky lifestyle in his new cinematic visual for ‘Wetty’. As the love story plays out, he and his girl face a near-death situation, and she doesn’t scurry. To my liking, at the end of the video, he plays out the first verse of the song. It’s what made me like the song the most because who doesn’t like when art imitates life? By the looks of it, Brooklyn Drill is here to stay, and Foreign will forever be on the frontline. Check out the visual now.

Pop Smoke – Shake the Room featuring Quavo (Personal)
The moment of silence at the end is beautiful. Try not to cry as you watch. Currently trending at #13 on YouTube, the posthumous visual for ‘Shake the Room’ features Pop Smoke and Quavo spending time together in Paris, France. As an avid listener and supporter of the Brooklyn Drill movement, not only is this one of my favourite songs on ‘Meet the Woo 2’, it is so good to see them having fun. Pop Smoke was really on his way. I predict this song is going to chart. Watch the video to see our fallen hometown hero in one of his last moments. And thank you to Virgil Abloh and his team for getting this done.

Lil Skies – Havin My Way featuring Lil Durk (Personal) (Bonus)
As both artists offer tight verses on the danceable track, the video for ‘Havin My Way’ opens up with the two—Lil Skies and Lil Durk—tied to the ropes like puppets. Next, they’re in the crowd amid zombie-like people. It isn’t clear how they got there, or why, but it makes for a damned good visual. In particular, Lil Durk’s verse starts with referencing Lil Baby and Gunna’s famous hook on the chart-topping record ‘Drip Too Hard’.

British duo GAWD Status share official visual for ‘Admiral Byrd’: Watch
The psychedelic Hip-Hop duo of GAWD Status (Joker Starr and King Kashmere) recently dropped some trippy visuals for their latest single, ‘Admiral Byrd’. The visual for this track tells the story of an explorer landing on Earth for the first time. Amazed and distraught with his discovery, the silver suited explorer breaks out into a burst of randomness. One moment our explorer is dancing and in another moment, he can be seen moshing and throwing stuff. A high-energy video matched perfectly with the song. This video is very entertaining and worth the watch.

Watch Indian star Badshah’s new visual for ‘Genda Phool’ co-starring movie star Jacqueline Fernandez
Badshah, the Indian musical star, released a stunning visual with for ‘Genda Phool’ featuring Paya Del, where Sri Lankan actress and former model Jacqueline Fernandez dances, graciously. From behind red-lense glasses, he sings and raps in different languages to attract a worldwide audience, and most importantly, to woo his breathtaking love interest. If you aren’t familiar with Badshah or accustomed to Indian music, he is a great starting place. Based on the trendy production and common thread, you’ll be able to appreciate his purpose: Bridging the uncomfortably large gap between South Asia and North America, in a way that no one else has been able to achieve at his level.
It’s a long way before the likes of the leaders of pop culture are singing in traditional languages, but Badshah is a pioneer. If all goes according to plan, he will accomplish my review on his motive. Badshah shared that with this song, he attempted to pick a part of his culture and share it with the world. “The long-forgotten two-string instrument—Dotara—is what the song starts with and the folk language and melody, the colours, the dance, the flowers in the video,” Badshah explained. Watch the video below now.

Morocco-born singer-songwriter Ghita releases the visual for ‘Out of My Life’: Watch
A conflict of wanting someone, but needing your own space is common. With the visual for Ghita’s ‘Out of My Life’, she perfectly captures that emotional conflict. Throughout the visual, she is found sprawled out in her home with her lover as they intimately interact. Although, the lyrics suggest she wants her space and for him to get up out of there she seems to be enjoying those moments.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=963phZj69eY&h=315]
The visual cuts in and out of scenes of her leaving and going to the store purchasing duct tape and rope, and scenes of her and her lover enjoying their time together. Ultimately, the visual comes together as she walks into the store to purchase a bag of chips, then poppin’ the trunk with her lover in it, and tossing him his “favorite” snack. This messaging is clear, I want my space, but I don’t want you out of my life.
