Los Angeles Bedroom Pop artist LoveLeo uses 127 fruits to make his point in video for ‘LEMONS’: Watch
Taken the saying “when life gives you lemons make lemonade” to the max, LoveLeo wears a big ass lemon earring, sits in bed with the fruit, and dons yellow nail polish. Los Angeles-based artist sure does know how to make a sticky or shitty situation seem better than it is. It may also be as a result of the colour yellow, and what it does to the brain. When he’s not sitting in a tub filled with the Vitamin C inducers, he’s dancing in the window of his apartment. It’s one of the happier songs to help you get through an uncertain quarantine day. Play this one by the Bedroom Pop artist loud.

Watch Sweden musician Per Störby Jutbring’s official video for ‘The Lynx, The Fawn, The Squirrel’
As some of us wind down for bed, we like to either be in silence or allow something soothing to take us into the night. If I had to recommend a song for bedtime, it would be ‘The Lynx, The Fawn, The Squirrel’ by the Neo-Classical musician Per Störby Jutbring. The performance of the string quartet, captured at his ‘Las Palmas’ studio in Stockholm, is nothing short of mesmerising. It is a piece, without words, that grips the soul. Poignantly and intentionally looking to be kid-like and whimsical, the juxtaposition of the room to the music is the sort of dichotomy we also enjoy. Here’s the dimly-lighted performance of ‘The Thief Bunny Society’ single.

Ghanaian Highlife star Bisa Kdei shares official video for ‘Ofie Nipa’ featuring Sista Afia: Watch
About a week ago, Ghanaian Highlife star Bisa Kdei released the official video for ‘Ofie Nipa’ featuring Accra-native artist Sista Afia. Based on a loose translation we’ve received, he sings about the people closest to you being the ones who hurt you the deepest. Although you may not understand what the artists are saying, most of us can relate to the lyrics, and it is an undeniably fun danceable tune. Check out the visual for the Nzema Poppin-produced track below. Prince Dovlo directed it.

Brooklyn artist HDBeenDope shares visual for inspirational ‘Inizio’ track: Watch
HDBeenDope, one of the talented artists I had a chance to interview this month on Instagram Live, is back with the official video for ‘Inizio’. Expressing himself with a different tone and production style on the album cut, the Brooklyn-native artist sees and understands that he can do all the things he puts his mind to, which is powerful. ‘Inizio’ is one of the fifteen tracks from the forthcoming album, which explores the duality of fame and financial success. I can’t wait to hear ‘BrokeN Dreams’. It comes out on the first day of May. Watch the Erikson Corniel-direction now. If you haven’t, check out his incredible video for ‘20K’, too.

Davenport, Florida rapper Nell Beamen and T Rose share ‘Lebron James’: Listen
Nell Beamen and T Rose released colorful and lively visuals for their song ‘Lebron James’. The video combines your classic trap house aesthetic with well-animated graphics making the video refreshing, vibrant, and exciting. The artists rap in a tone that could be described as instrumental; vocals that flow with the beat rather than over it. The minimal contrast between the artists’ tones and the beat is what gives the track its replay-value.

Run the Jewels share new video ‘Ooh La La’ featuring Greg Nice and DJ Premier: Watch
Recreating his classic line from the Gang Starr original ‘DWYCK’ for the infectious hook of Run the Jewels’ new single ‘Oh La La’, Hip-Hop legend Greg Nice appears at the start of the video to do what only he could do. Soon after, as you watch, you start to realize that there are several people around. Like, a lot of people, which is low-key scary as a result of the current global pandemic. The artists are aware, so they’ve gone as far as releasing a statement in case anyone thinks this is a recent production. DJ Premier and Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha is seen amid the chaos, too. We’re happy everyone seems to be safe and in good health. Now, without further ado, watch the visual below.
