Watch Kizz Daniel and his wife Mjay Anidugbe dance in the official visualiser for ‘Double’
‘Baby Shark’ but Afrobeats.
[media-credit name=”Photo: Courtesy of the publicist; Special Somi” width=800 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]“He who finds a wife finds a good thing” is what the Bible says (Proverbs 18:22). As far as we can see, the Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Kizz Daniel has it all. In the kid-friendly visual for ‘Double’ (over two million streams on Spotify), the ‘Showa’ singer exhibits his fun side and dances with his loving wife and the mother of his children, Mjay Anidugbe, who he had been married to for four years. Before now, the Ogun State star singer kept his marriage life private. It is probably what has kept their bond/relationship going.
Will we get an official music video? Probably, but for now, let’s enjoy what we have. Check out the visual below and learn the words as the suited cartoon characters do African dance moves and play the instruments. It was released two weeks ago, has over three million views on YouTube, and the record is currently on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart and debuted at #2 on the Official Nigeria Top 100 Chart.

[media-credit name=”Instagram” link=”https://www.instagram.com/p/CyJYfeAsHW9/?img_index=1″ width=1000 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]Last week, Ghanaian musical group Ryderz released the official music video for ‘Different’. Near livestock, or goats, the duo raps about the goodness of moving the right way in the presence of your enemies. In the first verse, there’s mention of eventually getting paid for their hard work. Next, they perform in a body of water, wearing custom designs. If there’s anything we can count on, it has to be that Ryderz will shoot a memorable music video. Without further ado, watch the Dream Vision-directed visual below to catch the vibe.

Watch Memphis Bleek’s official video for ‘Durag Bleek’
I love a happy ending.
[media-credit name=”Instagram” link=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C75E4RoJJAt/?img_index=1″ width=819 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]A day ago, Memphis Bleek—known for his smooth, charismatic delivery, memorable features on timeless records (‘Is That Your Chick’, ‘Pop 4 Roc’) and being one of JAY Z‘s gifted protégés, released the official music video for his latest track ‘Durag Bleek’. In the Shula the Don directed visual, the Brooklyn-bred artist, who launched a successful career in 1996 through JAY Z’s debut album ‘Reasonable Doubt’ and eventually released his debut album ‘Coming of Age’, lets us know he’s back at it over the nostalgic Soul-sampled beat produced by Just Blaze. Surrounded by luxury vehicles, adult beverages and adults, the rapper celebrates his good life under palm trees and near water, a testament to how keeping a healthy relationship with his fellow Marcy Projects-native rapper and billionaire businessman ensured his peace of mind and wealth for nearly three decades after he entered into the industry.

Watch Ghana’s Jay Bahd and French rapper Rapi Sati live their best lives in ‘Hit’n’Run’
An honest man is one that most women could appreciate.

This week, Ghana’s impressive Asakaa star rapper Jay Bahd released the official video to his song ‘Hit’n’Run’ featuring Rapi Sati. In the CHERIF NOCOLOR FILMS-directed visual, the pair link up to animate their collaboration. To do it, they performed in front of the permanently closed Point Carre Distribution in Paris, France, under a bridge and a car’s sunroof. The ‘Ekorso’ star leads us into his world and gives us a glimpse into how he’s handling the ladies. For measure, he explains in mostly English he is without a serious girlfriend. Thus, Jay Bahd is just having fun and cannot be her man. Next, the backdrop of Rapi Sati’s verse, wholly performed in French, casts and moulds his joyous and free spirit, pinches of exultant joy and indexes how he does the incredible ‘Woo Dance’ popularised by the late American Drill superstar Pop Smoke.

Ghanaian-American R&B/Soul star Moses Sumney returns with up-close, freeing visual for ‘Vintage’: Watch
[media-credit name=”Photo: Courtesy of the publicist; Sam Cannon” width=887 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]Today, Moses Sumney, the gifted and talented aromantic artist, returned from film and television to music with a fresh and dramatic treatment for his new record, ‘Vintage’. My favourite parts are when he breaks into choreography with a fellow suited gentleman as he signs about the past—specifically taking it back to 1993.
About the single, Moses says:
“‘Vintage’ is me sliding into the music I probably listen to most these days – Progressive R&B. I crafted the video as a callback to the 90s/2000s clips of my childhood, when men weren’t afraid to beg and plead. I am once again begging to join the pantheon of great yearners: K-Ci & Jojo, Omarion, Ray J, Jodeci, Jagged Edge. Desire has always been at the core of my work; now the desire has a little shimmering shimmy to it.”
According to the press release, ‘Vintage’ arrives on the heels of Moses’s feature on BTS member RM’s May album ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’. Later this Summer, Sumney will star in A24’s Ti West-directed MaXXXine alongside Mia Goth, Halsey, Kevin Bacon, and more. Stay tuned.

Next, there are beautiful scenes to look at, delicately and artistically using Kente cloth, rain, and his flawless dark brown skin. We adored his double-disc album ‘græ’ released in 2020.

Bay Area’s Larry June believes every woman wants him in his latest: Watch ‘Dreams’
[media-credit name=”Photo: Courtesy of the publicist; Miggs” width=1000 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]We love confident people, and judging from how Larry June kicked off his verse, we know the Bay Area rapper is who he thinks he is. It’s the kind of thing Dom Kennedy would comfortably say about or to women in his records (See: 2011’s ‘When I Come Around’). About eight hours ago, the young music legend and entrepreneur shared the official music video to his bouncy new track ‘Dreams’ produced by Lil Rece. This cinematic, high-quality direction follows a collaboration the star put out with Tottenham artist Nippa called ‘Sugar’. Watch it to see and hear why the ladies favour him—from what appears to be an auto shoppe somewhere in the middle of San Francisco. David Camarena directed it.

Watch Nigerian artist Oshamo daydream about being the ‘Life of the Party’
Today, Nigerian artist Oshamo (stylised “oSHAMO”) shared the official video for his song ‘Life of the Party’ from his forthcoming debut. After a good chastising for decreasing the detergent prices and having his head in the clouds at his Yoruba mother’s launderette (or laundromat for the Americans reading) in Rupert Gardens, mommy dearest hesitantly leaves her to look after a customer’s clothes. Instantly, he seems to follow his mother’s wishes, but moments later, Oshamo daydreams again.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wmAtxEdw6c&h=315]
A young woman wearing a fluffy brown fur coat enters the launderette to invite him to perform at a party. Not having time to head home and get ready, the ‘Why You Lying’ singer gets dressed at the family business. Next, Oshamo heads to the venue in a Range Rover. There’s one catch, though. He needs to make it home by midnight. Watch the official music video above to see the crowd dance to the Amapiano-variant production.

Roddy Ricch battles with ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ over the Turbo-produced track: Listen
[media-credit name=”Instagram” link=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C7mhWC5xSUv/?hl=en” width=1000 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]Today, one of Compton, California’s most successful artists to live, Roddy Ricch, returned with a song with a boisterous message detailing his ‘Survivor’s Remorse’. Therefore, the perplexed artist parked us, and like a stadium filled with psychotherapists, the ‘The Box’ artist (nearly two billion streams on Spotify) pulled up a chair and talked to us about it all for closure. From his long list, the young father sheds light on his child support duties, falling out with some of his friends due to an overdose of pride and growing apart, and his thoughts on people who say he fell off. Utilising the golden flow and cadence famously used by Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch talks about being blinded by survivor’s remorse, codeine use, tired of everyone’s opinions, and putting up the numbers he earned at the label. Stream the choir-sung chorus for the two-minute thirty-six-second record below to hear what’s been happening in his life from his mouth.

Watch Nigerian artists Azanti and PsychoYP chop life in house party-themed ‘Naija Funk’
[media-credit name=”Instagram” link=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C69RCuAJCKL/?img_index=1″ width=819 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]Six hours ago, Nigerian artists Azanti and PsychoYP unleashed the official music video to their new single ‘Naija Funk’, a new, experimental sound for the Apex Village/Def Jam Recordings frequent collaborators. The musical pair from Abuja, Nigeria, started promoting the jam with nearly 500,000 streams on Spotify three weeks ago with a visualiser and the audio on digital streaming platforms. Taking his alleged regret poolside, the Toronto-based rising artist sings, “I shoulda done you better,” something many babes would love to hear whilst (or after) dealing with a jackass. For Psycho YP’s verse, the ‘Long Way from Home’ artist raps about putting that shit on, linking with baddies abroad and protecting his music “I do not need this shit leaking (no lie).” Watch the new video below for the Ayk Beats production. You may get encouraged to play Monopoly, eat chicken, and spray your peers with water guns in this heat.
