BIA and Lil Yachty team up for ‘Pissed Off’: Watch the visual
Sub central.

BIA, one of the industry’s gifted rappers, released the official music video to her track ‘Pissed Off’ featuring Lil Yachty today. From the start of the high-tempo track, she promises death will show its head, targets someone’s “baby mama” — calling them out for being a slut and asks who’s taken a whore for a wife. Although we’re sure the interwebs are going to make suggestions and piggyback off of what Offset alleged about his former wife-to-be, Cardi B, we cannot confirm who the Boston native songwriter has decided to attack, but whoever it is has genuinely pissed her off.

For his verse, Yachty decided to slide on the Lil Rich production and talk about drugs and monetary profit, the soft body belonging to an alluring woman, and all of his friends being rich.
As a result, thankfully, we’ve received another party banger to dance to this Winter or Summer — depending on what part of the world you’re living in. Watch the optimal visual below to see the rapper dripping in fur and a swimsuit. The multi-platinum rapper, BIA, has joined Nicki Minaj on the second leg of her ‘Pink Friday 2 World Tour’, which is currently underway.

Watch Winston-Salem rapper TiaCorine’s new video ‘Different Color Stones’
[media-credit name=”Instagram” link=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C_I6wi7RxFt/?img_index=3″ width=1440 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]As the boundless rising star spends time in Lower Manhattan (New York City) and walks out of a shoppe, TiaCorine’s unique eccentric look is on display. Freeing herself from the cords of perfection and worrying herself out of releasing any music, the Winston-Salem rapper put trust in her team and her daughter for this release. Over the track produced by Pooh Beatz, Ambezza, Fizzle and Julia Lewis, she warns about people giving her space, having money to spend, being different, and chilling at home in a thong. As a result, TiaCorine’s die-hard fans and the inevitable new ones will have the pleasure of hearing and seeing her in all of her glory.

Watch British-Gambian star Pa Salieu’s official video for new song ‘Belly’
Afrikan rebel
[media-credit name=”Instagram” width=1440 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]Seven days ago, Pa Salieu, the British-Gambian star with a hard-knock life journey, released the official video for his new single ‘Belly’. In the lyrics of his tune, the crafty songwriter lists the ways a “ghetto man” can do outside of what the world may know him or see him. More particularly, he can have an accountant, leave the bando and stack money in abundance. In the second verse, he raps about the importance of the role of a man (providing for the family) and remembers the cold nights and hard times.

Two years ago, the emphatic songwriter/performer appeared in a Noisey documentary, where he talked about being born in England (Slough), his grandmother’s place burning down and having to move to Gambia for proper care from family whilst his mother worked. From the beginning, the eight-minute video details the near-death shooting and focuses on his head wound via an Instagram post he published after leaving the hospital.

In the post, Pa Salieu typed, “You can’t defeat a man with pure energies” — believing it’s why he is still alive today. Unfortunately, there were nineteen fragments, or shrapnel, removed from his head. It is a wonder he survived, as many victims do not live to tell the story. Also in the special, the ‘My Family’ star talks about growing up in Coventry, England (Hillfields, one of the most deprived areas in the British Midlands, Noisey reported). Ending it off, he talks about the generational trauma of his people, being his ancestor’s tongue, and why he became a star in his own right.
In 2021, Pa Salieu performed ‘Frontline’ for America’s television show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon virtually as we were all in lockdown during the global pandemic due to COVID-19.

Brooklyn’s Lola Brooke enlists R&B superstar Jeremih for ‘No One Else’
[media-credit name=”Courtesy” width=900 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]Flipping another nineties classic, Brooklyn-bred star Lola Brooke has released the official music video to her new track ‘No One Else’ with R&B superstar Jeremih. In her latest effort to gain more diverse fans and show her soft girl side, the ‘Don’t Play With It’ rapper assures her significant other that he’s the one who has the keys to her heart. It’s a feel-good Hip-Hop/R&B track that anyone could enjoy in a party setting or from home on a Sunday evening like today. Watch the video to see how she effortlessly dons her outfits and how it all plays out. Hitmaka, Chrishan, Khristopher Riddick-Tynes, and Lilju used the nostalgic production to craft a modern tune about potential matrimony (“How would you feel if I locked you down for life?/Not just for one night”).

Based on the larger-than-life recognisable sample, I am surprised to see that ‘No One Else’ was released — especially in the same year as the violent and disturbing hotel footage involving the label’s CEO, Sean “Puffy” Combs and Cassie Ventura, but Arista co-owns the track. So, there’s that.

Watch Nigeria’s global GRAMMY Award-winning artist Mr Eazi’s official video for ‘Panadol’
[media-credit name=”Photo: Courtesy of the publicist” width=791 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]Last week, the talented global Nigerian star artist Mr Eazi released the glorious music video for his new track ‘Panadol’ (named after 500mg pain relief medicine). Singing about the heated, sensual moments he shares with a woman of his choice over a groovy Afrobeats rhythm, he adds animated kissing teeth sounds in the composition likened to the ones in Wendy Shay’s song ‘HIT (Haters in Tears)’ with fellow Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale. When Mr Eazi isn’t releasing music for us to jam to, he’s running his record label (emPawa), managing real estate properties, and more. Check out the Mollana Burke-directed video below. It is from the GRAMMY Award-winning and Latin GRAMMY Award-winning artist’s newest album ‘Evil Genius’. It has accumulated over fifty million streams and earned coverage from media giants like the New York Times, Forbes and others.

Watch Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Gmod visual for ‘Fried’
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign shared the official music video to one of my favourite tracks on the new album this week. The footage from the ‘Vultures 2’ album, ‘Fried’, starts with masked people—more than likely generated by artificial intelligence or Garry’s Mod—running at top speed. We do not know why or where they are going, but we think the visual matches the adrenaline of the production. Check out the video below.

[/media-credit]Three weeks ago, Nenny, a vibrant Portuguese singer-songwriter and rapper known for her strong performances and holding the torch for musically-inclined Portuguese Afrodescendants around the globe, released the official music video for her song ‘Normal’. In the choreography-heavy smoky visual, the ‘Mar Azul’ artist dances with friends and joins the dinner table at the end for a celebratory toast.
Watch the official video below to see her in action. The rising global star performed ‘Tequila’ and ‘Wave’ on COLORS three years ago, was part of a Tiny Desk Meets AFROPUNK series during the pandemic, and was part of Spotify’s spotlighting platform EQUAL Global Music Program, which had her face plastered on the company’s mesmerising central billboard in Times Square. She also performed at Afro Nation in Portimão, Portugal.
