After a successful stint on the road with chart-topping New Zealander Lorde, British DJ, producer, singer, songwriter and visual artist Until The Ribbon Breaks will be returning to the US supporting American Electronic Pock-duo Phantogram in December.

Having released his debut EP A Taste of Silver last month, the critically acclaimed artist posted a series of self-made videos to accompany each track. The first, for his debut single “Pressure”, was a salute to David Lynch, pulling scenes and images from the cult classic Lost Highway. Soon after the Pitchfork-approved “2025” hit the Internet, generating international attention with its powerful apocalyptic undertones and imagery, leaving the masses yearning for more. Since his recent U.S. tour, Until The Ribbon Breaks has continued to deliver with the release of the infectious “Perspective” featuring Homeboy Sandman and the epic “Romeo”.

After a whirlwind trip to the U.S. earlier this month, having sold out shows in both New York City and Los Angeles, Lorde announced she will be releasing her debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ in North America on September 30 via Lava / Republic Records. Her current single Royals continues to dominate the Billboard charts, recently solidifying the young artist as the first female artist to top the Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Alternative Radio chart in 17 years.

  • Chocolate Puma Announces Two U.S. Shows

    [spacer size=”15″]

    Chocolate Puma

Chocolate Puma just announced two U.S. shows, bringing their dynamic sound to both coasts this month. The first will be in New York City at Pacha on Friday August 23. The following night, August 24, they’ll head to Los Angeles to perform at Exchange.

Chocolate Puma are two of The Netherlands’ most celebrated electronic producers. With a career spanning 20 years, 200-odd releases and countless remixes under their various guises, this duo cannot be underestimated when it comes to their influence on European dance music.

You might also know them under the names Zki and Dobre, Jark Prongo, The Good Men or just plain old Rene et Gaston. Over the last few years, Chocolate Puma and leading house label Defected Records have enjoyed a close relationship. Their latest projects contain remixes for Kaskade, Norman Doray, Major Lazer and collaborations with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Firebeatz.

When you experience a Chocolate Puma DJ set, three quarters of the tracks they play will be produced or remixed by them, while the rest is made up of personal edits of some of their favourite tracks. Rene and Gaston continue to stand for quality in a music scene littered with mediocrity, setting ever higher standards for their own production and inspiring new generations of producers with every beat, bass thump and joyously raised hand. Chocolate Puma are a benchmark for excellence, hard-work and talent; long may they continue to fly the flag.
