Young Saab is a brand-new Brooklyn super-group founded by childhood friends Jon Sandler and Eric Zeiler. Zeiler, previously of Pop trio Little Daylight and Grunge-inspired Alternative project Me Not You and Sandler, best known as half of Synth-Pop revivalists Great Good Fine OK decamped to Brooklyn to create music together for the first-time last year. The first product of their new creative partnership ‘But I love You’ is a relatable desolate tune.

‘But I love You’ begins with melancholy toned guitar chords as Chloe Lilac, their neighbor and rising NYC-based Pop songstress, uses her smooth vocals to describe young love in the big city. The initial inspiration behind the song was Lilac’s experience as a teenager living in Brooklyn and about a boy who she may or may not have been in love with. The motive strings and bright interjections of synth create a lo-fi bedroom pop sound with electronic elements.
