Lemar & Dauley, founded in 2003, is a Brooklyn based clothing line impacting the street wear apparel niche of fashion. This one of a kind brand, from my hometown, is known for their strong focus on sports and leisure making L&D a favorite among those who love to work hard and play hard as well.
So what’s the buzz around Lemar & Dauley right now? Well, bring their name up to any real sneakerhead in the game or streetwear fashionista and they will tell you. Lemar & Dauley have dug in the crates of the early 90’s sneaker archives with their newest release “The FILA Cage”.
These sneakers are initially made for ball players, but don’t be surprised if you see them on the feet of a regular stylish streetwalker like myself, because unfortunately I’m not a ball player like Sanaa. Long story short, the shoe is dope. Pulling inspiration from Summer drinks in Montauk and the Atlantic Ocean waves, you can spot The Cage out of any sneaker line up with it’s one of a kind mint-colored pigskin suede and matching rubber sole. You will definitely be catching eyes, whether on the court or on the pavement.
The interior of the sneaker includes detailed effects such as the Lemar & Dauley needlepoint floral pattern in the interior lining, footbed, and back tongue. Style is not the only main attraction of “The Cage” you get a kick of comfort added with the memory foam at the collar of the sneaker.
In lieu of the FILA and Lemar & Dauley collaboration, The Mojito Cage also features a special hangtag and boxing. To The Mojito Cage I say: Yay! This was a sneaker that truly gave me love at first sight. You can cop these new school classics exclusively at FILA.com and Lemar & Dauley’s webstore.
