Rihanna isn’t playing any games when it comes to her mula, and proves so in a graphic 7-minute short film. “Bitch Better Have My Money” is very similar to a manifesto. Co-directed by the Pop princess and Megaforce, this video is full of surprises. The storyline is a spin on “Tower of Terror”, “Thelma & Louise” and “The Shinning”. Creating chaos and revenge on her bank account, Rihanna and her all-girl crew are ready to set things straight. With lavish / nomadic fashions, retro cars, chainsaws, heavy-duty luggage, fire, hotels, fishermen boats, cops, and pool accessories, the scenery is crazy.
Taking the song and shooting it in a literal sense, every line acts as a still shot. I’m all for this concept being shot for a TV series, which has to be crafted by Ms. Fenty herself (maybe even the next Shonda Rhimes production). If you love Jada Pinkett Smith’s role as Fish Mooney in “Gotham”, then you’ll love the strong female presence in this clip.
